Required to deliver best in class strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiation and supplier management practices
Manage and optimize supplier performance, including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations, and reduction in total cost of ownership
Maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Must have good analytical abilities to assess the performance of suppliers against criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, ability to innovate and financial stability.
Must have financial skills to assess the total cost of dealing with a supplier, including price and factors such as the costs of delivery, administration quality control and inventory.
Must have good interpersonal and negotiating skills to build effective working relationships with supply partners.
